The Square Studio is owned and operated by Steve Sopchak, whose recent credits include re-mastering a series of seminal pop-punk/emo albums by bands like The Ataris and The Juliana Theory for 10th anniversary re-releases, engineering and co-producing the new Ice Nine Kills album (alongside esteemed producers James Paul Wisner and Tom Denney Jr.), as well as continued work with punk rock's hardest working band, Such Gold, who recently signed with one of the largest independent music companies in the country, Razor And Tie Records.
Artists who have worked at The Square Studio have been featured on MTV, are regularly played on nationally broadcasted television shows, frequently appear in top spots on music sites like PureVolume and Myspace Music, and many have gone on to sign with major labels and smaller independents alike based on the recordings they've made here. Much of the material recorded at The Square has been nominated for and/or has won regional music awards, and has been released both nationally and internationally.
